Sac County is located at the junction of U.S. 20 & U.S. 71. U.S. 20 is now a four-lane expressway through Sac County with statewide completion targeted for 2018. Rail service is available in the southern part of the county. The Sac City Airport allows small aircraft and Lear jets, with commercial service available at Fort Dodge (45 miles), Sioux City (75 miles), and Des Moines and Omaha (each 125 miles.)
